Meet the Artist Spotlight: tenor Anthony Heinemann. Anthony will be playing the role of Savonarola in our upcoming World Premiere of Borgia Infami.

Anthony just finished a busy season performing with Union Avenue Opera as The Mayor in Albert Herring, in the ensemble of UAO’s Carousel, and with St. Louis Symphony Chorus in Der fliegende Holländer. Last year Anthony was a Young Artist with Ash Lawn Opera, toured with Opera for the Young as Tamino in The Magic Flute, and sang Lorenzo in Bolcom’s comedy, Lucrezia with Gateway Opera. Anthony is also a 2015 finalist in the Kurt Weill Foundation’s prestigious Lotte Lenya Competition. Previous appearances with Winter Opera include Curzio in Le nozze di Figaro and Spoletta in Tosca. He is a proud alumnus of Washington University in St. Louis.

Meet the Artist Spotlight: tenor Zachary Devin. Zachary is Andrea in our World Premiere performances of Borgia Infami.

American tenor Zachary Devin’s voice has been praised as “superb”, “strong”, and “impassioned“ by Opera Today. The 2017 season has seen Mr. Devin making his debut in several roles, including Gherardo in Gianni Schicchi with Salt Marsh Opera, and Le Remendado in Carmen with Nashville Opera, as well as a return to the role of Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni with The Southern Illinois Music Festival. Mr. Devin is a prominent figure in the St Louis music scene, appearing with Winter Opera St. Louis, Union Avenue Opera, the St, Louis Symphony Chorus, The American Kantorei, and numerous other artistic companies throughout the country. #WOSTLBorgia

Today in our Meet the Artist Spotlight: baritone Jacob Lassetter.
Jacob will be playing the character of Rodrigo in Borgia Infami.

With his powerful voice and commanding stage presence, baritone Jacob Lassetter enjoys an exciting and vibrant career on both the operatic and concert stage. Critics have praised his dignified characterizations, his soaring high range, and his deep, rich tone quality. Earlier in 2017 Mr. Lassetter sang Peter in Hänsel und Gretel with Union Avenue Opera, Elijah at the Bassi Brugnatelli Symposium in Italy, Schubert’s Mass in A-Flat at Carnegie Hall, Sharpless in Madama Butterfly with Annapolis Opera, and a solo recital on the Shepley Concert Series at Christ Church Cathedral – Saint Louis. #WOSTLBorgia
