Save the Date for May 11th, 2017

This year Winter Opera is participating in Give STL Day, a 24 hour online giving event organized by the St. Louis Community Foundation to grow philanthropy in the St. Louis area.

 

To celebrate this event, we have decided to finally introduce a project that is very close to our hearts here at Winter Opera: Operatoons. Operatoons is a program, still in the development phase, that will be sold to schools that do not have the funding for music classes and to individuals who do not have access to music education. It will introduce music, theater, and opera through animated videos. Each program will be a 25-30 minute condensed opera with a series of lessons and an online learning center to help educators and students work at their own pace. 

 

We are also busy here at Winter Opera gearing up for our upcoming Season 11! This season will include The Student Prince by Sigmund Romberg, Les pêcheurs de perles (The Pearl Fishers) By Georges Bizet, and L’elisir d’amore (The Elixir of Love) By Gaetano Donizetti.
