La fille du Régiment – sung in French – January 24th and 26th, 2020
La Fanciulla del West – sung in Italian – March 6th and 8th, 2020

 

Auditions for principal and secondary roles in New York and St. Louis.

Deadline

April 26th, 2019 for NEW YORK

May 10th, 2019 for ST. LOUIS

 

Materials Required

Email to auditions@winteroperastl.org including:

  • Principal Auditions
  • What roles you are auditioning for *all roles available except Marie in La fille du Régiment
  • Which city you are auditioning in
  • The date you would like to audition and what preferred time(s)
  • Headshot
  • Resume – in PDF Format
  • An audio or video recording is not necessary but we will accept links to recordings and websites only.
  • Are you interested in Chorus? – St. Louis locals ONLY
  • $30 accompanist fee in NY – ONLY IF YOU ARE GRANTED AN AUDITION 
  • $20 accompanist fee in STL – ONLY IF YOU ARE GRANTED AN AUDITION

Audition Requirements

Prepare 4-5 arias from memory if you are auditioning for a principal or comprimario role.

If you are auditioning for a specific role please prepare an aria from the opera.

If you are auditioning for Chorus, please prepare 2-3 arias – St. Louis ONLY

 

Opportunity Information

Housing is provided in St. Louis
Transportation to and from St. Louis is provided.
Our artist fees for comprimario and principals roles range from $800-$2500.
Artists are brought in two and a half weeks before the production to rehearse.
Rehearsals are no more than six hours per day.
Chorus is hired locally
Most comprimario roles are cast locally
*All roles available except Marie in La fille du Régiment
